I thought about replacing the door, but decided, on a whim, to try this first...
It took two cans, but it worked!
I also switched out the old (ugly!) brass doorknob for a new one in brushed nickel (all by myself! It was surprisingly easy!!).
Very inexpensive, very easy and a huge improvement!
